If you are thinking about modeling and submitting images to an agency you don’t need a full portfolio, however it can be a big help to spend some time with a professional photographer to get the feel of what it’s like working in studio or on location. A good photographer will give you advice on posing and expressions, what to do and what not to do and this will give you more confidence approaching an agency or at a casting call.
What you do need to submit to an agency is a set of very naturally taken images full length ¾ and head and shoulders. You should not wear makeup and you should wear fitting clothes, skinny jeans and a T shirt or if you are confident a swimsuit to show your form and shape.
Images should include smiling and none smiling, hair up and hair down.
So if you are interested in modeling find a photographer to do those initial shots for you and talk to them about modeling.
My fee for initial shots is only $85 and you will get a selection of photos to choose what you want to submit to the agency.
